Red Lion Fish is a Pacific species that has decimated reefs throughout the Caribbean. Before 2009 in Utila, observed no presence of this invasive species. Which for lack of predators it has spread throughout the Caribbean, causing the decline of populations of native species. For this reason it has established the Derby capture to control the lionfish.
