Pumpkin Hill Beach Cleanup

On Friday, May 22nd over one hundred people took part in the cleanup of Pumpkin Hill Beach. More than eighty of them were students and teachers from the Utila Public School, and others were volunteers from BICA and divers from the Utila Watersports and Alton's Dive Shop. Over eighty-five huge garbage bags were filled and taken to the city dump in four truckloads. The beach now looks great and the animal life can enjoy a clean habitat. Patrick Flynn offered his truck for the removal of the garbage and The Mermaids gave great discount to BICA for pizzas and sodas for all participants.
